How to Setup Static IP for Windows PC on Dlink DIR-822

Before we begin, make sure that you are familiar with your Dlink DIR-822's IP address. If you are unsure how to get that information, please read about it here. Now that you know your router's IP address.

Start by opening your router's control panel.
Log in to your router.
Press on the More Functions part.
Then click on the Network Settings and LAN.
Scroll down and tap on Add button.
Now you can Enter MAC address and IP address manually.
Also, you can tap on the Enter manually and choose from the list your computer name.
When all is done you can press on OK button.

Set the static IP address on your Windows PC

First, click on the internet icon in the bottom right corner of the panel using the Right Mouse Button.
Then, select Open Network & Internet settings.
Tap on Change adapter options.
Click on your network card using the Right Mouse Button.
Now choose Properties.
Next, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and press on Properties.
Click on the checkbox next to Use the following IP address.
Enter chosen Static IP address, subnet mask and the default gateway and click OK.
